Bullying

So my kids get off the bus yesterday and all at the same time start telling me about the mean kid on the bus. It certainly isn't the first time that they have complained about this child but it was the first time this school year. He is older than all my kids and this day decided to pick on William who is all of 6 yrs old. He repeated over and over to him that he was going to grow up to be fat just like his sister. So not only was he bullying William but Katie also in the process. So Katie nicely asked him over and over to stop but he wouldn't so finally William told him to shut up. I am so proud of my Katie for being nice and for William for sticking up for himself and his big sister. I found it very hard not to tell them both to punch the kid in the nose next time that is for sure. Just makes me wish I could protect my babies from everything but glad to know they are trying to protect each other.

  1. Kids can be so cruel. There's usually a reason a bully is a bully, you can't help but wonder what's happening to that kid behind closed doors to make him bully your sweet children? There's no excuse for bullying and good for your children for protecting one another, I wish Anabella had someone to protect her....I just pray I can instill in her the courage, wisdom, confidence and love to tolerate all who cross her paths. Even the unfortunate, insecure "bully's". Miss you honey! xoxoxo

  2. Way to go Katie and William. I'm proud of you for not lowering yourself to that kids level. And by the way what's wrong with the bus driver!!!! They are supposed to be there to supervise the goings on...Wait till Grandma gets there, may have to take someone out!!!LOL

  3. The bus driver didn't hear as they were at the back of the bus, but the kids told her and she phoned the principal right away.
